- ZELLEN COLD WAX MEDIUM is a translucent wax-based oil painting medium. Contains wax, Zellen White Spirits and alkyd resin. Cold wax medium makes oil colours more transparent and matte.
- Cold wax medium can be mixed together with powder pigments and thins with turpentine or mineral spirits. It is recommended using a ratio of 1:2 oil to paint medium. Using a rigid surface or adding additional resins the ratio of wax to paint can increase. Drying time varies depending on method use. A fantastic medium with endless possibilities for the artist to embrace.
